For best diesel performance your Fuel Charger™ Power Cells should be installed properly by a certified mechanic.

Power Cells are installed between the final fuel filter and the fuel injector pump or fuel rail Inlet Port.  Use your current filter-to-IP metal hose to connect filter to the Blue End of the Power Cell.  Then build a hose no more than 1 foot long from the Red End of the Power Cell to the IP.

Power Cells come with mounting brackets and JIC 6, JIC 10 or SAE 6 fittings.

You supply hose and plumber's tape.

Every engine is different.  Every installation will be slightly different.

This page outlines general principals.  The links below open pages that describe the specific requirements of several common engine types.

Caterpillar

Cummins

Detroit Diesel

Deutz & Perkins

John Deere

Dodge - Cummins Pick-Up Trucks

Ford Powerstroke

Mount the Power Cell so it lies FLAT. Connect the RED end to the Inlet Port with a hose that is no more than one FOOT long.

FLAT    Power Cells should be mounted FLAT so fuel will not have to climb uphill. If flat is impossible, mount the unit with the red end pointing down so fuel can run downhill. Find a place on the vehicle chassis or engine out of the way of other maintenance items and the hood itself. Use the clamps supplied or ties to secure the Power Cell firmly in place.
See photos below.

RED     Fuel flows into the BLUE end and out the RED end.  That's where most of the electrons are released from the coils of nickel, steel, copper and strontium inside. If you mount the unit backwards, it will work, but not quite as well.  (There's a thin round magnet in the RED end; it kills any algae that may have spread from your fuel tank through the fuel delivery system.)

FOOT      The hose connecting Power Cell to IP inlet should be no more than one FOOT long.  The farther the charged fuel travels from Power Cell to the injection nozzles, the more electrons it can lose.

Power Cells are easy to install. Just follow directions.

Use standard low-pressure (35 lb psi ) fuel hose and fittings. Your Power Cell will come with two JIC 6, JIC 10 or SAE 6 fittings that match your engine’s fuel system, if you specify the make & model when you order.  If your IP requires some other fitting, your mechanic can use our fitting on the RED end of the hose and the right one on the other.

You can make push-lock, clamp, or crimp connections. The latter are the most professional. Connections and hoses must be 100% leak-free. A hot engine will ignite diesel fuel!

1) Place the Power Cell in or near its final location. Leave the final mounting loose until you complete the rest of the installation, then tighten the clamps or ties.

2) Disconnect the current fuel line from the injector pump or fuel rail in-port. Use this line, if it is long enough, to run from the fuel filter to the BLUE end of the Power Cell. Tighten the existing fitting to the fitting included with the unit.

3) Fabricate a new hose to go from the RED end of the Power Cell to the pump or fuel rail. This hose must be One FOOT long or shorter. Preferably shorter. Use a plastic composite material rather than a solid metal tube.

4) Attach the new hose at the RED end of the Power Cell and at the in-port of the injector pump or fuel rail.  Use plumber's tape on all joints.  Metal to metal fittings can leak under pressure.

5) Bleed air out of system.

6) Run engine. Check for leaks!

7) Tighten all fittings and make sure the Power Cell is securely attached to chassis or engine. Drive on!
