Two trucks were selected from the fleet which would each have one steady driver performing about the same way from day to day. Baseline MPG for each truck was established using manual fuel records. The Power Cells were installed and the trucks continued to perform their regular function. Three months later, miles and gallons used to recalculate Power Cell MPG.

MPG increased 15.0% and 13.5% on the two Kenworths. (See chart below.) Based on 60,000 miles a year, we projected an annual fuel savings of 3,200 gallons and a dollar savings of about $5,000 (at $1.50/gallon) for both trucks. Over five years, the Power Cell will save each truck $12,500. At $3.85 per gallon, annual savings would approach $12,500. Customer immediately installed Power Cells on his six other trucks.
